Improve Performance Where It Matters.

Production performance can decline for many reasons — equipment wear, outdated controls, recurring bottlenecks, changing production requirements, or individual machines that no longer perform in balance with the rest of the line. A line upgrade focuses on identifying and addressing the specific constraints limiting the performance of an existing production system.

bXperts can assess the line, define improvement opportunities, and execute the mechanical, electrical, automation, or equipment modifications required. Depending on the project, the scope may begin with an Operational Efficiency Audit or move directly into execution when the required improvements are already defined.

How We Support Upgrade Projects

Assessment-Led Upgrades

Starting from an Operational Efficiency Audit to identify exactly where the opportunity is before any work begins.

Direct Upgrade Execution

For facilities that already know which upgrades they need.

Phased Upgrades

Larger improvement projects broken into stages to manage risk and minimize downtime.

Shift Coverage

Day shift, night shift, and weekend work to fit around your production schedule.

Coordinated Upgrade Execution

Project Manager / Site Supervisor

Coordinates mechanical, electrical, and controls work so improvements are implemented without unnecessary disruption to ongoing production.

Field Service Engineering Team

Carries out execution work, matched by experience level to the complexity of the upgrade.

Why Targeted Line Upgrades Matter

Not every production constraint requires a complete line replacement or major modernization program. Performance may be limited by a specific bottleneck, outdated controls, equipment condition, line configuration, or an imbalance between individual machines.

Machine Imbalance

Identify the Actual Constraint

Pinpoint the specific issue limiting performance, reliability, or capacity on the line.

Focus Investment Where It Matters

Apply resources to the change that will have the greatest operational impact.

Our objective is not to modify equipment simply because it is older, but to address the factors that are limiting production performance, reliability, or capacity.

Industries We Support

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an Operational Efficiency Audit before a line upgrade?
Not necessarily. An Operational Efficiency Audit can help identify where performance is being constrained when the root cause or improvement priorities are not yet clear. If the required upgrade has already been identified, bXperts can move directly into planning and execution.
What's the difference between a Line Upgrade and Retrofits & Overhauls?
Line Upgrades focuses specifically on improving production efficiency and output on an existing line. Retrofits & Overhauls covers modernizing or rebuilding equipment more broadly, which may or may not be tied to a specific efficiency target. Many upgrade projects include a retrofit as part of the scope.
How long does a typical line upgrade take?
This depends on the scope — a targeted upgrade addressing one bottleneck can be much faster than a multi-phase improvement project. Assessment findings usually determine the realistic timeline.
Where do you operate?
