Full Project Management for Moving Your Production Line

Relocating a production line requires coordinated planning across dismantling, equipment movement and positioning, transportation, mechanical and electrical installation, piping, and final commissioning. bXperts manages the complete relocation as one coordinated project — from initial assessment and sequencing through installation and production restart at the destination.

Whether it’s a single production line or a complete plant relocation, bXperts manages the project end-to-end, as a single point of accountability from planning through restart.

bXperts sourced, engineered, and relocated a complete wine bottling line from Italy to a new production facility — a turnkey engagement spanning worldwide equipment sourcing, technical due diligence, detailed engineering, professional dismantling, international logistics, installation, and commissioning across a broad product portfolio of bottle formats, closures, and labeling configurations.

The relocated line combined equipment from multiple manufacturers, including Krones and Heuft, integrated into a single production system alongside modernized automation and controls. bXperts mobilized a specialized dismantling team of approximately 25 personnel in Italy, managed international transportation and import logistics, and led installation and commissioning at the destination — followed by 12 months of on-site post-commissioning support, including technician training and preventive maintenance setup.

The project was delivered on schedule and safely, achieved rapid customer acceptance, and became one of the strongest-performing lines in the customer's operations for efficiency and yield. bXperts continues to support the customer on additional relocation, modification, and engineering projects.

Why Coordinated Relocation Management Matters

A production line relocation brings multiple disciplines together within the same project schedule. Dismantling, transportation, equipment positioning, mechanical and electrical installation, piping, and commissioning all depend on work being completed in the correct sequence.

Centralized project management keeps those dependencies visible from planning through production restart. With one team coordinating scope, schedule, execution, and commissioning, issues can be addressed as they arise without losing sight of the overall relocation timeline.

Correct Execution Sequence

Multidisciplinary dependencies stay visible, planned, and correctly sequenced.

Visible Project Dependencies

One team keeps scope, schedule, and execution dependencies visible throughout.

Coordinated Production Restart

Issues get addressed as they arise without losing sight of the overall timeline.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Line Relocations and Rigging & Equipment Positioning?
Line Relocations is the full project management service — planning, sequencing, and coordinating every discipline involved in moving a production line. Rigging & Equipment Positioning is the physical equipment-moving capability itself (lifting, transportation, positioning), which is typically one part of a larger Line Relocations project rather than a standalone service.
Can you manage a relocation between two different facilities, not just within one building?
Yes. Our project scope covers plant relocations within a single facility as well as moves between different sites, including domestic and international transportation coordination.
Do you provide project management only, or do you also do the physical work?
Both. bXperts provides project management and on-site technical execution across the relocation scope, including dismantling, equipment positioning, mechanical and electrical installation, piping, commissioning, and start-up support.
Do you support facilities outside the United States?
Yes. bXperts technicians operate across 20+ countries, with offices in the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
What industries do you support?
bXperts provides line relocation services across packaging, food & beverage, brewing, oil & energy, automotive, and pharmaceutical industries, among others.
